How to get strong, healthy hands and beautiful hands? Read on some great tips about the perfect nails for your lifestyle and how to maintain a flawless manicure!

Beauty comes from the inside - available for hair, skin and nails. Along with hair and skin, nails are the first lo lose out in the nutrition stakes when the body is lacking minerals and vitamins.
Here are some tips to strong and healthy nails!
How to Get Strong and Healthy Nails

Hands and nails are quick to show the wear and tear of daily life, so choose the fingernail length that suits not only your personality but also your job! At the office, or even just at home if you're an active person, maintaining a very long manicure can be difficult. Nails can even break and be painful.
Keep their length manageable. Go for no more than a quarter-inch beyond the tip of your finger, and keep nails filed into resilient soft ovals.

Natural nails are easier to maintain as opposed to gel or acrylic, and mid-length nails are not only easier to care for but are also the current nail trend of the season - but very short nails are masculine and unattractive.
So go for an "in-between" length, that's chic and subtle.

Great Nailcare Tips
Nourish, and protect! Nails, just as your hair - they have the same structure - can get fragile, thin and crack easily.
Using a regular hand cream is not enough to maintain you nails' elasticity - fingernails absorb water 100 times faster then your skin does, so you will need different moisturizers for you nails.
When manicuring use moisturizers that are made specifically for nails, petroleum jelly or essential oils like jojoba oil, tea tree oil.
Dry nails tend to break easily as they're lacking in protein. It can also be partly down to a vitamin B deficiency.
If you can't stop biting your nails - try an anti-biting nail paint. Tastes absolutely disgusting, but will stop you putting your fingers in your mouth so often.

Don't neglect your cuticles. Rough, ragged cuticles can lead to painful hangnails. Put a dab of rich cuticle oil on your cuticles after showering and before bed.
Don't have your cuticles removed - these act as a barrier against bacteria - clipping your cuticles increases the risk of skin and nail infections. Instead, dip your hands in warm water and push your cuticles back with a soft orange wood stick.

Tips and Tricks for Beautiful Fingernails
Do not apply the nail polish directly to your nails, specially if it's a dark shade. Always use base coat before polish, that will protect the nail.

When you're removing nail polish, use an acetone free nail polish remover. Acetone dries and damages the nails.

Manicurists suggest leaving time for the first coat of polish to dry before applying a second coat. That way, the second coat will bond better to the first coat of polish.
Once in a while, spoil yourself with a professional SPA nail treatment. Beside nail whitening and strengthening treatments, essential oil based aroma therapy, peeling and hand massage are also included! It's the place where you can surely find professional products to maintain your nails until the next treatment.
