Homemade Remedies for Cracked Heels

Are you suffering from dry, cracked heels? Here are some cheap homemade remedies to avoid and get rid of cracked heels.


I'm sure cracked heels gave you many headaches at least a couple of times- these are unaesthetic and sometimes can be painful.
Cracked heels can be caused by several factors, but a proper foot care can be helpful avoiding them.
Let's see some home remedies for dealing with cracked heels.

Water is again essential, even that little portion of your foot needs hydration. This will make your skin smooth and your heels soft. Dry heels are more prone to cracking.


Home Remedies for Cracked Heels

Another home remedy can be the pulp of a ripe banana. Make a a paste of it, first cleanse your feet with lukewarm water, pat them dry properly. Apply the paste to the dehydrated area of your feet, leave it for 9-10 minutes then wash it off.
Repeat this at least once a week to have the desired result.

Lemon juice has beneficial effects on our body, it can also be a remedy for dealing with cracked heels. At least once a week, soak your feet in lemon juice added to ¼ bucket of water, for 8-10 minutes, then dry your feet.


If you wish you can apply the juice only to the problematic area, after that moisturize your heels.

A healthy diet can also prevent your heels from cracking, this is also a sign that your organism lacks important minerals and vitamins. That's why it is highly recommended to consume diary products, nuts, vegetables, fish, chicken and brown rice as well.

You can also heal cracked heels by soaking your feet in tepid soapy water for 10-15 minutes. Then dry it and apply the following mixture to your heels.
Take a bowl and squeeze a lemon, add one spoon of Vaseline. Rub your heels with this mixture until it is completely absorbed by your skin. Repeat it more times a week.

Sesame, mustard and coconut oil have all fabulous effects on cracked heels. Apply it to your feet before you go to sleep, wear cotton socks then rinse it off in the morning.

Honey has many soothing effects, rubbing your feet with it before going to bed will reduce the pain, your cracked heels give you. Wear thick socks at night then rinse it off in the morning.

Finally hydrogenated vegetable oil applied to your heels can be also useful. Wash your feet properly, put some vegetable on your cracked heels.
Leave it for 30 minutes and wash it off, without using any soap.
