How many times have you bruised yourself by bumping into stuff around the house and you couldn't wear a skirt, a pair of shorts, a sleeveless shirt or a dress because of the ugly marks?

As soon as you injured yourself and you can expect a bruise to form apply a pack of ice on the area. Do not apply the ice pack directly on the skin, but wrap it into a towel or a cloth to avoid skin damage. Remove the ice pack every 10 to 15 minutes to allow your skin to warm up. The cold given off by the ice will help constrict the traumatized blood vessels, thus minimizing the amount of blood to reach skin surface. |

Mask your bruise using makeup. Makeup has been used to cover up all sorts of skin problems, so it can be used to cover up bruises as well. Bruises can also appear due to physical effort. Exercising can cause tiny tears into your blood vessels therefore leading to bruising. |
